About The Position

The objective of the internship is to develop students through practical manufacturing and operations experiences, as well as assist in the personal development of leadership attributes through training, networking, and coaching. During the 12-to-14-week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders. The assignments will help the participant develop a wide range of leadership and functional responsibilities within the field of operations.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Integrated Business and Engineering Program from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher (please do not round).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
  • Must reside withing a 50-mile radius of Euclid, OH; no relocation benefit is provided.
  • This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently have or will possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering with a major in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing.
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience.
  • Completion of sophomore year by the start of internship.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others within campus/and or community.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in operations leadership.
  • Ability to speak a second language.

Responsibilities

  • Finalize standards for new Mazak machine.
  • New Mazak work holding and setup reduction.
  • Broach tooling.
  • Hofler program improvement.
  • Automation review and analysis for gear blanks.
  • Test fixture and tooling organization and racks with RFID.
  • Box and packaging standardization.
  • Dry Film process automation review and analysis.
  • Tooling consolidation and form tool usage.
  • Non-Destructive Test standards created.
  • Model shop push out process improvement.
  • Automation of deburr activity analysis.
  • Tool kit creation for area.
  • Bearing pulling tooling review and adjustment.
  • Tear down instruction video.
  • Analysis of pump delivery automation process.
  • MATLAB and DIAdem code / templates for data processing.
  • Assisting with stack-ups and preliminary design calculations on RISE Program.
  • Creation of test stand startup checklist.
