About The Position

Rivian internships & co-ops are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the entire internship or co-op term. Note that if your university has specific requirements for internship programs, it is your responsibility to fulfill those requirements. Our Spring Co-Op program runs from Jan - Aug, 2027. In order to be considered for this role, you must be available to work full time (40 hours per week), onsite, for the entire duration. If you are unable to work during the spring semester, please apply to our Summer Internship Program. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
  • Understanding of manufacturing concepts (cycle time analysis, quality control, equipment efficiency, etc).
  • Experience working in both 2D and 3D CAD environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and execute on actions and tasks as requested by your team.
  • Applied knowledge and understanding of engineering first principles.
  • An interest in innovating the automotive and technology industry.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working as a member of a team across several cross functional disciplines, including with external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, as needed.
