About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for evaluating and improving manufacturing methods through maintaining a thorough knowledge of customer product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

Requirements

  • SolidWorks proficiency is required – must be able to create, modify, and interpret 3D models, drawings, and assemblies.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a customer-facing or project-lead capacity within a made-to-order or high-mix production environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DFM/DFA principles, change order processes (ECOs), and assembly line development and optimization.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent) and lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office/Project tools.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • High School Diploma, or GED, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering, or a 2-year technical/trade school degree in a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or similar) is a plus.
  • Green Belt certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Operate ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office/Project tools.
  • Manage projects, communicate effectively, and interact with cross-functional teams and external customers.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
