About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer for Assembly is responsible for supporting all technical aspects of the value stream including but not limited to Finishing, Assembly, Metrology, and other aspects to meet the customers’ requirements. This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
  • Agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering/engineering technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field is required.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products and SAP.
  • Experience working with all aspects of tooling fabrication, including Fabrication, milling, and assembly, in a lean manufacturing environment required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software is required.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearance.
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Must pass a preemployment drug test prior to starting employment.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with internal teams to give technical guidance.
  • Provides feedback on designs and drawings for manufacturability and specification compliance.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement in both manufacturing and design standards.
  • Investigates and evaluates new technologies.
  • Champions quality standards.
  • Manages and communicates changes to best practices and standards across the company.
  • Assist with manufacturing plans.
  • Identifies areas of improvement in final assembly and manages initiatives to completion.
  • Challenges convention to foster innovative thinking.
  • Reviews and ensures internal standards and customer requirements are being followed.
  • Interacts frequently with shop floor to ensure project health; have a daily presence on shop floor.
  • Shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
