About The Position

Global CNC Industries is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, enhancing productivity, and driving continuous improvement efforts. This role involves utilizing the Tulip.co MES system to design, develop, and deploy custom applications, testing them on the shop floor, and leveraging data analysis to drive improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing process optimization, preferably in a CNC machining environment.
  • Hands-on experience with MES systems, specifically Tulip.co, and ability to create custom applications using the platform.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive process improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstrated track record of implementing successful solutions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in programming languages or logic-based languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective solutions to increase throughput and overall productivity.
  • Utilize the Tulip.co MES system to design, develop, and deploy custom applications tailored to meet specific manufacturing requirements.
  • Test developed Tulip.co applications directly on the shop floor, evaluating functionality, usability, and effectiveness, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, gathering feedback to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for custom applications, including user manuals, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Conduct training sessions for shop floor personnel on new systems.
  • Leverage data gathered from the Tulip.co system to conduct in-depth analyses and generate actionable insights.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by working closely with other manufacturing engineers, production managers, software developers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication channels to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
