Requirements

B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in automotive assembly preferred (powertrain assembly).
Working knowledge of MS office applications (MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
Problem analysis and problem resolution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Smart factory experience preferred.
AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
PLC Programming and troubleshooting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, production and test equipment.
Coordinates changes to assembly process flow, including process control plans.
Carries out process improvements, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing processes.
Prepares and maintains layouts of buildings, tools and equipment.
Assures compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Develops and documents quality system for new programs (control plan, PFMEA, process flow, work instructions, and inspection plans.)
Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and implements quick win strategies as part of the GEP Management Operating System (MOS).
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
