About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer supports the Production Department by resolving issues related to components, equipment and processes used in the manufacture of RF coaxial cable assemblies. The Manufacturing Engineer will work in concert with Production and Operations to assure efficient manufacturing of products to meet customer scheduling and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/aerospace engineering
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experienced using Lean Principles and tools
  • Experience using Six Sigma and/or or other problem-solving methodologies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience reading and understanding drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Mechanically inclined, familiar with shop tools and machines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the manufacture of raw RF cable or cable assemblies, preferred
  • Experience with resistance soldering equipment, preferred
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Creating/maintaining/reviewing/improving/troubleshooting documentation related to manufacturing and testing of RF coaxial cable assemblies.
  • Identifying root cause of mechanical and electrical failures on the production floor.
  • Implementing process improvements to correct manufacturing inefficiencies and failures.
  • Designing/developing tooling and fixtures to support production needs.
  • Providing training/qualification/validation for processes and equipment as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal standards, processes, and procedures.
