About The Position

Under the supervision of the Regional Operations Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the manufacturing operations, which includes supporting plant managers and plant supervisors by maintaining production costs and standards, along with maintaining inventory control. Assists with quality control efforts, analyzing manufacturing variances and provides recommendations on manufacturing improvements; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality or other applicable area of study, preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a support capacity.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, verbal and written, Bi-lingual is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze production costs and efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Software, specifically Excel.
  • Requires excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license
  • Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.

  • Bi-lingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the manufacturing efforts in the operations and supports strategic functions at Air Vol Block.
  • Develops strategic plans with Operations manager and supervisors, related to facilities and organization.
  • Reviews all major expenditures, both capital and expense with supporting business justifications.
  • Advise on raw material pricing, equipment purchases and manufacturing agreements
  • Supports technical development
  • Manage all production within plant and WIP areas to maximize efficiencies and minimize scrap and overruns.
  • Oversees write-offs and final billing for Air Vol Block
  • Coordinates new product development between sales force and manufacturing.
  • Assists in the month-end and semi-annual inventories.
  • Utilize competently all SAP production reporting available
  • Knowledgeable in all types of products produced.
  • Interacts with inter-company personnel, vendors, customers and outside agencies in professional manner.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
