About The Position

Wright Manufacturing, a leader in the design and building of commercial lawn equipment, has a great opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to become part of our Production Engineering Team. In this role you will be improving manufacturing processes, supporting production operations, and implementing equipment and automation improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. An associates degree in Engineering Technology, Robotics, or similar will also be considered, along with applicable experience.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering or production engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, automation systems, or production processes.
  • Experience leading engineering or manufacturing improvement projects
  • Working knowledge of PLC-based control systems and industrial automation.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and process diagrams.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Work with Manufacturing Leaders and Production Engineering Group (PEG) members to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
  • Support the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of manufacturing automation and controls systems.
  • Work with PLC-based equipment, sensors, HMIs, and automated machinery.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors and sub-contractors during system upgrades and installations.
  • Manage manufacturing engineering projects including equipment installations, line moves, and process upgrades.
  • Develop project timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and track project progress.
  • Support equipment selection, installation, and commissioning.
