About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for process and systems compliance, statistical analysis of process data, and active participation in new program/project launches. This role involves hands-on shop floor interactions with management and production personnel, focusing on the review and improvement of existing processes and efficiencies through Lean Manufacturing principles. The engineer will lead Kaizen/Continuous Improvement activities, document cost savings, and perform time/motion studies. Responsibilities also include evaluating materials, developing machinery and processes to meet specialized design and performance specifications, planning and designing tools and machines to enhance production flow, and researching customer design proposals to assess feasibility and requirements. The role requires specifying system components, directing product modifications, providing feedback on customer needs, and researching, designing, evaluating, installing, operating, and maintaining mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. Additionally, the engineer will recommend design modifications to prevent malfunctions, interpret technical drawings, and perform other assigned duties while ensuring regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible manufacturing, industrial, or project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferably with fabrication, metal stamping, robotic, MIG, and resistance welding / assembly experience.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must maintain confidentiality when working on assignments.

  • Evaluate materials and develop machinery and processes to manufacture materials for use in products that must meet specialized design and performance specifications.
  • Plan and design tools and machines to enhance production flow / processes.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Provide feedback on customer problems and needs.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements.
  • Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
