About The Position

Lasko Products is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its Franklin, TN manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supporting the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and home comfort products. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers to enhance product quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. This position involves leading engineering projects, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring daily presence on the plant floor for manufacturing support. The role requires ownership of the assigned area and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and CAD software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
  • Working knowledge of injection molding, stamping, welding, and manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of GD&T, metrology equipment, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and DMAIC.
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
  • Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in injection molding and automated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Previous experience with robotics and PFMEA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation.
  • Design and maintain 3D models, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using SolidWorks.
  • Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and maintain engineering documentation.
  • Support manufacturing by troubleshooting production and quality issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure successful product launches.
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment and support capital improvement projects.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain data tracking systems to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Daily presence on the plant floor giving support to manufacturing operations.
  • Ownership of the assigned area.
