About The Position

Lifetime Products, Inc., is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Mascot (Knoxville) Tennessee. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes through "Lean" principles and recommending equipment for the blow molding production and logistics departments on all shifts as needed. You will be part of an energetic group of professionals in a fast paced state of the art manufacturing environment. Must be self-motivated, proactive, organized and have excellent communication skills, as well as a good attitude regarding team work and working well with all team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET)
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical analysis, time studies, and manufacturing cost.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents.
  • Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft office which include Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD
  • Ability to communicate effectively in front of groups and work in a team environment.
  • Complies with all safety and security policies and procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Treats people with respect, works with integrity and ethics, and upholds organizational values.
  • Generates suggestions for improving work.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities, puts success of team above own interests, and supports everyone's efforts to succeed.

Nice To Haves

  • 3D CAD experience is a plus.
  • Lean manufacturing experience/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with production, logistics, maintenance and processing teams.
  • Evaluating production floor layouts.
  • Analyzing material flow.
  • Creating and maintain routings and costing.
  • Developing processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Identifying equipment needs.
  • Troubleshooting current production equipment.
  • Deploying new products.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
