The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and validating manufacturing processes, methods, tooling, equipment, and controls to support the production of products and components. This role involves analyzing labor utilization, equipment requirements, workflow, and space layout to maximize efficiency. The engineer will support prototype development, builds, and production launches, while actively applying and evaluating new manufacturing technologies for cost reduction, quality improvement, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities also include participating in product design reviews to ensure manufacturability, preparing manufacturing studies, recommending process improvements, and selecting/approving tooling and equipment. The role requires coordinating process implementation, providing training, establishing error-proofing systems, and serving as a technical resource for process changes and continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the engineer will pursue quality improvements, support new program launches, research state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, work with production teams to meet performance measures, maintain communication with stakeholders, act as a customer liaison, and complete all required training. Quality, Safety & Compliance responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ISO and IATF 16949 standards, developing PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, and Operator Instruction Sheets, collaborating with Ergonomics and Health & Safety teams, adhering to EHS standards, reporting incidents, and supporting continuous improvement in safety, ergonomics, and environmental performance.
