About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in optimizing and enhancing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This position focuses on programming, setting up, and maintaining machines to meet precise manufacturing specifications. The engineer will collaborate closely with production teams to develop and implement process improvements that reduce waste and increase throughput. They will also be responsible for creating detailed plan layouts and programming G-code to drive automated machining operations. Ultimately, this role ensures that manufacturing operations run smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively while meeting all quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with CNC programming and setup, including G-code programming.
• Hands-on experience with programming and operation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machining techniques.
• Familiarity with plan layout design and manufacturing documentation.
• Water jet programming, CNC programming, and G-code programming are essential for daily tasks involving machine setup and operation to produce precision parts.
• Manufacturing engineering knowledge is applied to analyze and improve production workflows, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Machining skills enable the engineer to understand the capabilities and limitations of equipment, facilitating effective troubleshooting and process optimization.
• Plan layout skills are used to create clear, detailed instructions that guide manufacturing teams and ensure consistency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and optimize CNC machine operations using G-code and other programming languages.
• Set up and calibrate CNC machines and water jet cutters to ensure accurate and efficient production runs.
• Design and implement manufacturing process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Create detailed plan layouts and documentation to guide machining and assembly operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and machine performance to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Train and support production staff on new equipment and updated manufacturing procedures.
