About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the MQ-25 program in Patuxent River, Maryland. We are looking for an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer, with expertise in airplane subsystems, final assembly and/or ramp experience, with the ability to work independently. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the needs of an integrated test team for an autonomous development program.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 5+ years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

• Experience with Final Assembly and / or Ramp Operations
• Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
• Experience with 3D model-based instruction
• Experience with Teamcenter and VisMockup
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)
• Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement manufacturing processes and provide quick response for the air vehicle needs.
• Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
• Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and assembly considerations.
• May require travel to Mascoutah, IL
• Integrated test need is dynamic and may require schedule flexibility to support emergent needs
