About The Position

This role focuses on defining, controlling, and validating manufacturing processes and operational sequences for both existing products and New Product Introduction (NPI). The engineer will implement control factors like control plans and process maps, identified from PFMEA, to reduce, detect, and control issues, preferably within aerospace structures/nacelles. The position involves analyzing cycle times, scrap rates, and labor hours to eliminate waste using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, and working on Root Cause, Corrective Action (RCCA) with guidance using established tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, or related engineering field.
  • 8+ years of aerospace structures / Nacelle quality or manufacturing experience.
  • 4+ dedicated Aerospace experience.
  • Manufacturing experience, including knowledge of ISO9000 or AS9100.
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD Software (Catia/3dx preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Aircraft structures / Nacelles, design guidelines, composite and metallic failure modes.

Nice To Haves

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical views that translate raw data into clear operational insights and recommended actions.
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Familiarity with digital QMS / PLM tools

Responsibilities

  • Define, control, and validate manufacturing processes and operational sequences for existing & New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Implement control factors such as control plans & process maps which are identified from PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) to reduce, detect and control in preferably aerospace structures / Nacelles.
  • Analyze cycle times, scrap rates, and labor hours to eliminate waste using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and lower the Cost of Quality (COQ).
  • Works on Root Cause, Corrective Action with some guidance using established RCCA tools (PFMEA, DMAIC, Apollo, 5 WHYs, 8D, etc.).
