About The Position

Wonder is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help build and scale production of its Infinite Kitchen suite of products. The Wonder Robotics Manufacturing team turns designs into reliable, scalable restaurant equipment through effective assembly processes, disciplined change control, and close collaboration with contract manufacturers. The role supports day-to-day assembly operations at the contract manufacturing facility in Westborough, Massachusetts, resolves build issues, improves assembly and testing, and shares manufacturing insights with design engineers. The position supports manufacturing operations for the Infinite Kitchen suite, primarily at the contract manufacturing facility, and also requires work at Wonder’s Charlestown office depending on project needs. The role is in person five days a week. The Manufacturing Engineer supports design changes, deviations, rework, and manufacturing issue resolution; initiates Engineering Change Orders; revises and redlines part and assembly drawings; and edits 2D and 3D CAD files. The engineer works with contract manufacturing stakeholders to coordinate procurement and assembly planning, improves assembly processes and throughput, designs and implements mechanical jigs and fixtures, works with quality engineering on incoming material inspection, and contributes to component-level Design for Manufacture efforts. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; at least three years of hardware R&D or manufacturing experience; and at least two years as a Manufacturing Engineer focused on assembling and testing complex, large-format industrial equipment. The role also calls for knowledge of mechanical inspection instruments and practices, fabrication processes, product change management tools and processes, mechanical CAD, and mechanical documentation standards including ASME Y14.5. SolidWorks is preferred. The listed base salary range is $124,000–$134,000 per year.
