About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer role requires a Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering major. The position involves working cross-functionally with other departments and requires excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. The engineer must be capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting established deadlines. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are necessary to identify and resolve complex control system issues, with the ability to interpret system specifications, schematics, and process data to make informed engineering decisions. The role also demands a proactive and detail-oriented approach, capable of anticipating problems and implementing preventative solutions. The ability to react with urgency to achieve objectives and deadlines despite obstacles and time pressures is crucial.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar, Engineering major required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing role.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting established deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex control system issues.
  • Ability to interpret system specifications, schematics, and process data to make informed engineering decisions.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, capable of anticipating problems and implementing preventative solutions.
  • Ability to react with urgency to achieve objectives and deadlines despite obstacles and time pressures.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing trained preferred.
  • Experience with Statistical Analysis and Operations Research as an asset.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Acumatica are a plus.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
