About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer supports production operations by developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes, tools, and workflows. This role ensures products are built efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality, cost, and delivery targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Manual Assembly utilizing standard assembly jigs (non-automated) with typical tolerances of +/- .030.
• Experience with Precision Machining: 5-axis milling and NC turning for aluminum and stainless-steel components.
• Experience with Composites Manufacturing: Fabrication of carbon fiber details and honeycomb structure assemblies.
• Proficiency in CAD software: CATIA V5.
• Proficiency in PLM software: Siemens Teamcenter.
• Proficiency in ERP software: SAP.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Kaizen events.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 2018 (GD&T), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and AS9100 quality compliance alongside customer-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate designs during reviews to resolve producibility issues and define tooling philosophy.
• Develop Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs), work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Issue purchase orders for tooling and necessary manufacturing equipment.
• Provide hands-on shop floor support to troubleshoot assembly and machining issues.
