Manufacturing Engineer

AndrenamTorrance, CA
$150,000 - $175,000Onsite

About The Position

Andrenam is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help grow and scale our development builds into low-volume manufacture. You'll close the gap between a design that works in the lab and a process that builds it reliably each time. We're a small team growing quickly. Many of our processes are still being established, so you'll have a direct hand in defining how we build, not just executing a process someone else already wrote.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Strong DFM (Design for Manufacture) fundamentals.
  • Proficiency creating MBOMs from EBOMs.
  • A hands-on approach. You're as comfortable on the floor as you are at a workstation.

Nice To Haves

  • High familiarity with electrical and mechanical assembly, plastic part manufacture, and/or PCB manufacture.
  • Startup or collegiate team project experience (Formula SAE, Rocket Club, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience designing production tooling.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work side by side with technicians and design engineers on the floor, closing the gap between what a design allows and what a build needs to help make a better product, faster.
  • Translate EBOMs into MBOMs and routings, and own the work instructions, fixtures, and tooling a technician needs to build a unit correctly the first time.
  • Define and adjust assembly work centers based on takt time, work content, and station balancing as build rates increase.
  • Give design engineers DFM feedback before a part is released, not after it turns into a build problem.
  • Identify product and process deficiencies on the floor and drive the fix, whether that's a design change, a new fixture, or a revised work instruction.
  • Define and implement quality requirements and inspection criteria for new and evolving assemblies.
  • Design production tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support precision assembly and test.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Long-term equity incentive program with significant growth potential.
  • Flexible PTO and paid holidays.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision insurance.
  • 401k
  • Lunch and snacks provided in office.
  • Access to a unique work environment, blending technology, maritime, and defense.
