Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing manufacturing work instructions for aircraft components, assemblies, or systems.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints, process specifications, and technical references.
  • Strong instructional writing and documentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of fabrication, tooling, and manufacturing processes for aerospace applications.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, MS Office, CAPP/SFM, and model-based engineering software (e.g., Solumina/iBASEt, Teamcenter, 3DX or similar).

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of EBOM, MBOM, and OBOM structures and their application in manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA.
  • Experience with PLM software (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, SAP PLM).
  • Degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Strong communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering drawings, models, and specifications to develop practical operations and manufacturing sequences.
  • Create detailed, clear work instructions and supporting documentation for machine parts, composite assemblies, airframe structures, aircraft systems, and related components.
  • Collaborate with designers, production engineers, and cross-functional teams to refine manufacturing requirements and processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between Engineering, Planning, Tool Design, Tool Shops, and Production to ensure adherence to fabrication sequences and resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigate planning issues, recommend, and implement corrective actions to maintain project quality and efficiency.
