About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will support a repair product line, utilizing experience or expertise to solve problems. In this role you are responsible for developing and optimizing continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost goals of the organization. You will collect production data and apply standard scientific, statistical, and lean methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Recommend changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve and maximize efficiency and utilization of resources. You will work collaboratively with teams to ensure consistent repair processes and will utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, effecting short-term and some long-term business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (or High School Diploma/GED with at least 7 years of Engineering experience)
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of Engineering experience

Responsibilities

  • Review, Plan, Implement and Maintain Work Instructions and other Technical data
  • Utilize data to define, continually improve, and drive changes compliant with the engine manual for area assigned, targeting Safety, Quality (reworks, First Time Yield) and delivery (TAT, OTD) improvements, and ensure changes are followed
  • Manage, develop, and implement all technical enablers of a safe, quality and cost efficient (optimized) repair process improvement, including support of industrialization efforts of new repair solutions, for assigned area
  • Drive and support EHS and Quality RCCA’s, definition and implementation of Corrective Actions / Preventive Actions.
  • Active participation in production meetings, take the lead on solving technical issues and overcoming obstacles impeding continuous material flow in production and process excellence
  • Drive the qualification of special processes
  • Assist production teams in resolving repairing process concerns (DICA management, Rework decisions, etc.)
  • Conduct training on process updates and changes
  • Participate or drive New Product Industrialization or New Single Repairs introduction projects
  • Participate or drive capital expenditure projects from specifications to installation and in compliance with PTI procedures
  • Conduct cost / benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment
  • Support the quality function through integration of ISO/QC documentation and manufacturing methods instructions
