As a Manufacturing Engineer in Blaine, MN, you will own manufacturing projects from start to finish. You will troubleshoot manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis (RCCA) to implement effective, lasting solutions. The role involves managing Engineering Change Orders and supporting CAPEX requests while mentoring a small team of engineering technicians. This is a great opportunity to be on the ground floor of a new facility as we continue to grow our Data Solutions manufacturing capabilities. This role will work onsite, 5 days a week in Blaine, MN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or other related technical degree required.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of people leadership or mentorship experience preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and statistical analysis software (Minitab preferred).
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred) and PLM systems (Enovia preferred).
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing projects from start to finish, including creating project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Facilitate process improvements using Lean manufacturing tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S) to optimize layouts, improve material flow, and reduce waste.
  • Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) requests, including justification and implementation of new equipment.
  • Design and develop fixtures to support production and improve quality.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis (RCCA) to implement effective, lasting solutions.
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and review/update manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a small team of manufacturing engineering technicians.
