About The Position

Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. Responsible for writing routings/manufacturing instructions, coordinating the successful transition of new products and technology into the production arena, writing appropriation requests, and preparing quotes. Participates in concurrent engineering design reviews, evaluates and approves drawings, routings, specs, and other documents. Designs and procures tools/equipment, develops and documents manufacturing work instructions and standard work, and supports prototyping activities of new product development. Evaluates and solves production problems, coordinates maintenance operations, and identifies, plans, and leads Kaizen initiatives for sustainable process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ Manufacturing Engineer experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Required LEAN manufacturing experience
  • Experience/knowledge with process and equipment validation, PFMEA , IQ/OQ/PQ, etc.
  • CAD experience/knowledge
  • Solidworks preferred
  • Good project management skills and initiative in taking on and completing projects
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
