About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation and documentation of the manufacturing process. They will serve as the link between the Engineering and Operations team to reduce material waste, increase output and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists and create manufacturing work instructions to meet all requirements.
  • Knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA/control plans/SPC) and assembly manufacturing.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience implementing engineering changes
  • Experience working in a production environment
  • 1-3 years of experience with shop floor manufacturing
  • 3-5 years of Engineering experience (preferably in assembly)
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Odoo desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively promote a safe working environment.
  • Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope.
  • Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current operations.
  • Investigates, gathers and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks.
  • Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
  • Develops and implements plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing through the Client Production System.
  • Designs operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation.
  • Participates in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency.
  • Implements new manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Designs and/or sources equipment for manufacturing processes.
  • Assists R & D effort to implement new products or process into production.
  • Develops all necessary process and audit documentation (i.e. FMEAs Control Plans, Capability Studies, Balanced Line Capacity Models, Flow Analysis, etc.).
  • Evaluates and recommends implementation of competitive technology.
  • Experience in inspecting incoming hardware and parts to prints (QC function)
  • Carry out duties as member of a project team to meet the overall team goals (Quality, Cost, and Schedule).
  • Support the planning of all assembly, integration, testing and deployment of OPT systems.
