Manufacturing Engineer
About The Position
The Manufacturing Engineer will define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment. They will validate design specifications and the shop floor application of new products, tools, or equipment. This role involves developing and maintaining manufacturing methods to support safety, delivery, and cost priorities, and developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. The engineer will understand key business drivers and how their work integrates with other teams. They will use judgment to propose solutions outside of set parameters with guidance, and leverage prior experience and on-the-job training to solve tasks. This is likely an individual contributor role requiring strong interpersonal and time management skills. The position also involves regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events, supporting the Lean Roadmap, supporting New Product Introduction, and supporting CNC processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of CNC experience (programming preferred).
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine.

Responsibilities
- Define and control production process including tooling and equipment.

- Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
- Understand key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
- Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
- Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
- May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- Regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap.

- Support CNC processes.
