Manufacturing Engineer
About The Position
Pall Corporation, one of Danaher’s operating companies, is a global leader in high-tech filtration, separation, and purification. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations in the production of filtration products by improving safety, ergonomics, and productivity. This role will identify and develop production, assembly, and testing processes and procedures, and will work cross-functionally with project management, operations, quality, and safety. This position is part of the Engineering Department and is located in Cortland, NY. The role is integral to Pall Corporation in Cortland and will work with all levels of the plant to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with 3+ years of professional experience in Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering)
- Experience identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tools and tooling
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements under minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing
- Knowledge of PLC Programming
Responsibilities
- Participate and lead small teams in continuous improvement events to improve manufacturing processes
- Find creative and novel solutions using a data-driven mindset
- Ability to generate, revise and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and piping & instrumentation diagrams
- Focus on efficiencies in all areas of the manufacturing process
- Have an impact on reducing process variation, reducing waste, standard work creation, work to optimize cell design to correct quality and process upsets
