Manufacturing Engineer
About The Position
Turbotec, a company of Mueller Industries located in Newton, NC, is actively hiring for the position of Manufacturing Engineer. Turbotec produces a diverse range of high-performance heat exchangers for virtually any space conditioning or refrigeration application for the geothermal, water heating, solar, heat recovery, and heat pump markets. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will assist in many areas of the plant and production. This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibilities, supporting plant operations and production efficiency by working across manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering functions.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering (or related) OR equivalent experience (1–3+ years)
- Experience in manufacturing processes & fabrication
- Experience with tooling and process improvement
- Experience in industrial maintenance or engineering support
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of HVAC / heat exchanger systems
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance and manufacturing technician teams
- Support production and troubleshoot shop floor issues
- Drive process improvements & cost reduction projects
- Develop new manufacturing methods, tooling, and materials
- Assist with prototype development for new/modified products
- Ensure quality and efficiency across product lines
- Provide technical support for heat exchangers & tubing systems
