About The Position

Blue Origin Operations supports manufacturing and supply chain across its facilities. The Manufacturing Engineer applies engineering methods to design, develop, and implement manufacturing and production processes for the efficient production of aerospace products. The role integrates design requirements into processes and procedures, develops manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment, facilities, and systems, and plans engineering artifacts that turn raw materials into finished products meeting design and system requirements. It also provides guidance to design engineering on technical specifications and helps ensure processes comply with contract specifications and applicable regulations. On the Engines manufacturing team, this role supports production of BE-4 and BE-3U engines at the Huntsville Engine Factory. The factory uses machining and fabrication equipment to build and test engines. The engineer will help design and implement manufacturing systems, maintain quality controls, optimize operations and supply-chain logistics, and work with cross-functional teams to improve cost, throughput, production timelines, and cycle time. The role involves applying emerging AI technologies alongside traditional manufacturing engineering tools to improve processes and first-time quality. Multiple positions are available in Huntsville, Alabama. Listed shifts are B (Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m.), C (Friday–Sunday, 5:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.), and D (Friday–Sunday, 5:00 p.m.–5:30 a.m.). Relocation is available, and travel is expected up to 10% of the time. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
