About The Position

Carnegie Robotics designs and manufactures advanced robotics systems and components for defense, agricultural, mining, industrial, and off-road autonomy applications. Our ruggedized solutions can meet the challenges of any industry, providing effective and efficient answers for even the toughest problems. Carnegie Robotics is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, launch, and continuous improvement of advanced electromechanical products. This individual will play a key role in driving manufacturing readiness, supporting new product introduction (NPI), and ensuring high-quality production processes across complex robotic systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
• 5–10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Experience with electronics manufacturing and assembly
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics

Nice To Haves

• Experience with embedded Linux systems, microcontrollers, or industrial sensor integration
• Experience with PCB assemblies, cable/harness builds
• Background with electromechanical products
• Exposure to robotics or complex systems manufacturing
• Work experience in robotics, automation, or low-volume high-mix manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

• Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams
• Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives
• Investigate and resolve quality issues
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for electromechanical assemblies
• Interpret engineering drawings and schematics
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives
