About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for optimizing production processes to ensure the efficient manufacturing of lighting and power supply products at our CT facility. This includes developing processes, resolving production challenges, and driving improvements through Lean and Six Sigma strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Proven experience in project management, creating work instructions, and process development.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and maintaining production equipment.

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with teams, vendors, and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine manufacturing workflows for lighting and power supply products, from initial development to mass production.
  • Create and update process documentation and resolve any production issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to meet production deadlines.
  • Oversee factory expansion plans, including the procurement of new equipment and optimizing floor layouts.
  • Apply methodologies like DFM, PFMEA, and statistical controls to ensure high-quality, defect-free production.
  • Develop clear and detailed work instructions for assembly processes and ensure tools meet production and quality standards.
  • Identify problems and implement solutions in collaboration with other teams; mentor production employees.
