We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for implementing and validating established Jenbacher manufacturing processes from the production plant in Jenbach, Austria into the new engine production startup in Waukesha. This role supports the successful transfer, localization, and ramp‑up of machining processes to ensure the Waukesha plant can reliably produce new Jenbacher engine components. The engineer will work closely with global Jenbacher engineering and operations teams to understand existing processes, adapt them to the Waukesha environment, and ensure production readiness. This position will report to the VP of RPS Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2 to 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience combined with project management.
  • Industrial production, mechanical fabrication, or capital plant improvements
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and CAD models alongside production software (ERP/MRP).
  • Clear verbal communication, leadership capabilities, and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering projects safely, on time, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
  • Plan and track project phases from initial design and procurement to final construction and handover.
  • Review fabrication drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
  • Facilitate FAT testing of equipment, track milestones, and forecast labor or material expenses.
  • Coordinate with operations, sales, quality control, and outside vendors.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives, workflow layouts, and equipment installations.
