The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, project conception, planning, and improving machine processes. This role involves developing work instructions, training employees, and defining, measuring, analyzing, implementing, verifying, and controlling corrective actions. The engineer will also participate in implementing safety improvements, and designing, programming, analyzing, and repairing mechanical drives and control units, including reducer assemblies and conveying systems. They will provide technical expertise in troubleshooting mechanical systems, conveyors, presses, feed systems, payoff systems, robotic automation, and motion control systems. Additionally, the role involves evaluating, innovating, and deploying new components or processes to enhance machine longevity, developing integrated data acquisition systems across multiple control platforms, and participating in projects aimed at reducing downtime and scrap. The engineer will organize, plan, and commission new or modified production lines, evaluate control system logic and industrial machinery for optimization, and investigate operational problems systematically. Collaboration with Maintenance teams to improve skill levels and ensure preventative and predictive maintenance compliance is also a key aspect. This includes PM development related to equipment and tooling services, and programming software for automated systems and process control, including maintaining a backup library. The role also entails evaluating, identifying, procuring, coordinating, and receiving spare parts.
