About The Position

This role is for an Entry-level Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for establishing safety and quality as top priorities in manufacturing practices, procedures, and equipment. The engineer will identify, develop, and implement process improvements to increase capacity, reduce waste, and improve quality and delivery. This includes redesigning workstations, participating in "Design For Manufacturing" activities, and developing assembly process management tools. The role also involves maintaining ERP data, investigating quality non-conformances, and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement. The engineer will track plant performance and KPIs, and must possess the skills and desire to learn various assembly processes and support capacity increase initiatives.

Responsibilities

Establish safety and quality as top priorities throughout manufacturing practices, procedures, and equipment.
Identify, develop, justify, and implement manufacturing and business process improvements to increase capacity and reduce waste, while improving quality and on-time delivery to our customers.
Work together with operators, engineers, and maintenance techs to redesign the production workstations to improve material flow and reduce waste.
Participate in “Design For Manufacturing” activities to error-proof and simplify manufacturing processes.
Develop and maintain assembly process management tools to support manpower calculation, line balancing, time standards, work instructions, and process control.
Maintain product and process specific ERP data.
Investigate and resolve Quality Non-Conformances.
Actions must demonstrate commitment and belief of “continuous improvement” for personal and team development, as well as manufacturing process improvements.
Understand plant performance and KPI tracking, set actions based on data that contribute to the efforts to meet or exceed KPIs, including Safety, Quality, Throughput, labor Efficiency, First Pass Yield, and Cost Reduction.
Possess the desire and the skills to learn about variety of assembly processes.
Participate in manufacturing capacity increase initiatives to support sales growth.
