About The Position

ProMach is seeking a talented and driven Manufacturing Engineer to develop efficient manufacturing systems and machining requirements. This role involves working with engineering and manufacturing teams to determine the optimal manufacturing process for both existing and new products, and collaborating with quality personnel to ensure all quality aspects of product design and manufacturing are met by applying engineering principles. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who performs well with a high degree of autonomy and possesses a continuous improvement mindset.

Requirements

  • 3 years engineering experience required; packaging industry preferred.
  • Experience may include machine design, tooling, controls, or field maintenance.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth ERP experience.
  • Able to use power and hand tools.
  • Lifts/moves parts weighing up to 40 pounds during engineering evaluations to determine form, fit and function.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering discipline or equivalent, preferred.
  • SolidWorks experience.
  • Experience operating machining equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs in-depth investigation into processes and products as assigned by management.
  • Utilizes sound engineering principles to verify manufacturability of new products or modify existing ones based on customer feedback, sales input, manufacturing personnel, or Fogg service team information.
  • Acts as the liaison between Engineering and Procurement, as well as Procurement and Manufacturing.
  • Works with engineering and manufacturing to determine the best design to minimize labor and overhead costs.
  • Reviews form, fit, and function of product designs with other engineering designers using SolidWorks.
  • Develops manufacturing documentation to support tooling, manufacturing, and manufacturing preparation.
  • Initiates and coordinates development programs to increase cost efficiency and improve workflow for manufacturing, including testing and analysis of assemblies, processes, and prototypes.
  • Contacts and visits customers, suppliers, and agencies to obtain information on existing products, purchased parts, material selections, or manufacturing processes.
  • May travel to provide engineering field support for the customer base and/or dealers/agents, ensuring optimal customer service.
  • Works with Quality Control on non-conformance issues.
