About The Position

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead process development and optimization for automotive manufacturing operations. This role focuses on improving efficiency, ensuring compliance with ISO/IATF standards, and supporting new product launches. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement advanced manufacturing techniques and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Experience in automotive manufacturing operations.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience in process development and optimization.
Skills in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Experience in developing process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Experience supporting equipment selection, installation, and validation.
Experience training and mentoring junior engineers and production staff.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize automotive manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues and scrap reduction efforts.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new automotive components.
Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Support equipment selection, installation, and validation for automotive production lines.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff.
Drive continuous improvement projects focused on scrap reduction, cycle time improvement, and cost savings.
