This is a rapidly growing business with significant opportunities for professional development. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support our production operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production, design, development, or complex assemblies environment.
  • Experience with mechanical design using NX or SolidWorks.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels within Moog and with customers/vendors.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and follow through with minimal oversight.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously support and complete a large and varied list of tasks.
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Motivation and willingness to drive and support continuous improvement activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Background with automation, robotics, or PLC/controls.
  • Hands-on experience with machining, mills/lathes, 3D printing, or prototyping.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar project/ticketing systems.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and components using NX or SolidWorks.
  • Develop rapid prototypes using inhouse 3D printing equipment and shop tools.
  • Develop detailed design solutions to improve manufacturing processes with a focus on safety, effectiveness, repeatability, efficiency, and ease of use.
  • Identify opportunities to address unsafe, highly variable, inefficient, or difficult processes and propose continuous improvement concepts with cost/benefit considerations.
  • Lead process-improvement project design, build, integration, verification, and operator training.
  • Provide hands-on support to the production line, assisting with troubleshooting, equipment upkeep, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support and lead automation initiatives, including robotics, new equipment, and modernization efforts.
  • Obtain input from operators regarding equipment functionality and design; educate operators on new processes, features, and equipment capabilities.
  • Share manufacturing technologies and ideas with engineering teams to increase understanding of manufacturing options.
  • Design and configure manufacturing line layouts for efficient throughput.
  • Use JIRA or similar systems to manage tasks, track progress, and communicate project timelines.
  • Participate in or lead business-case development for new projects.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operators across the facility.
