A classification of engineering involved in product development, primarily encompassing the discipline of project/program management engineering. The PT6A Project Management team is seeking candidates for a Project Engineer position, focused on managing engineering modules and systems, with opportunities for client interfacing. This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of engineering, particularly in metrology
  • Demonstrated technical leadership
  • Able to work independently with clients and suppliers
  • Anticipates future opportunities and requirements for product quality verification
  • Highly adaptable; able to accommodate changing priorities based on available information and reconcile differing opinions to support business objectives and emerging priorities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Self-motivated and persistent in completing tasks
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

  • Membership in good standing with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec or the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead Metrology Development Projects:
  • Effectively lead technological development projects in metrology
  • Bring metrology technologies to a level of maturity suitable for factory deployment
  • Develop partnerships with metrology equipment suppliers
  • Perform verification and validation of new measurement systems
  • Act as a change and innovation agent in the field of quality verification
  • Meet deadlines and fulfill budgetary commitments
