About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer II plans and designs manufacturing processes in an industrial plant and provides direct advisory support for the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of manufacturing operations. These operations may include machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling. The role supports production and assembly operations, develops manufacturing methods and processes, analyzes production and test data, and coordinates work with technical support personnel. The position is 100% onsite in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and requires U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Experience with analytical and CAD software.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles used to produce precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing theory and design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids, and assembly fixtures.
• Conduct MRP support studies and develop factory cost work standards; perform assignments of similar complexity.
• Compile and evaluate test and production data, prepare technical analyses, and recommend manufacturing methods and processes for new or improved products and processes.
• Provide production-floor and assembly support on technical matters, including assembly drawing interpretation, Engineering Change Notices, rework, manufacturing difficulties, and specifications.
• Conduct analyses or tests concerning new methods, materials, processes, or standards and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate with other technical support personnel.
• Assign work to drafters, technicians, technical writers, engineering technicians, and machine shop personnel as required.
