The Manufacturing Engineer II is a hands-on, intermediate-level engineer responsible for developing, sustaining, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing processes for precision mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical products. The role supports daily production, new product introduction (NPI), product transfers, tooling and fixture readiness, process documentation, engineering changes, and continuous improvement. Manufacturing process ownership is the focus; hardware test troubleshooting is a supporting capability rather than the primary function. The engineer independently resolves routine to moderately complex manufacturing issues, uses data and engineering judgment to identify root causes, implements and verifies corrective actions, and escalates high-risk or design-authority decisions as appropriate. The role provides daily production support, maintains and improves manufacturing processes and documentation, and supports NPI, pilot builds, product transfers, process qualifications, and manufacturing readiness. It also evaluates engineering changes and manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and equipment, and partners with Quality and Operations on nonconformances and corrective actions. The engineer analyzes operational performance, leads or contributes to continuous improvement, and supports risk assessment and process controls. The role also supports production test and inspection processes, including basic hardware troubleshooting, test fixture issues, and coordination with Test Engineering or design owners. Responsibilities may change without notice at management’s discretion, and other related duties may be assigned. Achievement of objectives must include an overriding commitment to quality.
