About The Position

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I for the A320 Engineering Department in Mobile, Alabama. The role supports the final assembly line (FAL) by assessing manufacturing non-conformities, addressing late production changes, answering technical questions, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities. The engineer explains work orders and drawings, particularly for aircraft mechanical items, and communicates with FAL production while interfacing with the onsite back office to adapt work orders. The position creates and validates work orders for FAL rework across cabin, systems, electrical, and structural areas; provides technical production support; and incorporates implicit knowledge into work instructions so that operations teams have accurate, clear information for aircraft builds. It also supports replacement-parts and tooling availability, continuous improvement with Quality, routing verification for new or updated processes, and broader Manufacturing Engineering activities. The role is 100% onsite at Airbus’s Mobile, Alabama manufacturing facility and requires 5% domestic and international travel. Candidates must be able to work first-, second-, and potentially third-shift schedules to support production needs.
