Manufacturing engineers are responsible for the interpretation and translation of design requirements into manufacturing processes. They apply production methods expertise to generate processes and provide feedback to the design community. They support factory operations to ensure process and design requirements are satisfied, and drive continuous improvements to reduce cost, defects, and cycle time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or Technology or (STEM)
  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering processes and tools
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.​
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree focus in Industrial Engineering
  • Experience in a Defense Manufacturing environment
  • Experience/Education with technical writing and interpretation of technical documentation
  • Experience with the RTX CORE Operating System

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Raytheon systems and tools to build technical depth in Manufacturing processes
  • Support production operations and the Manufacturing discipline
  • Support Manufacturing objectives for cost, quality, schedule and safety
  • Accountable for improvement and optimization within the Manufacturing discipline
