Collins Aerospace’s Strategic Solutions team is looking for an exceptionally motivated Engineer that is passionate about collaborating with High-Performance Teams to create mission critical solutions supporting Mission Systems. Our Software Engineers work in an exciting, adaptive, and engaging environment enabling rapid learning to drive success. Our software engineers utilize a variety of skills on a regular basis including requirements analysis, development and delivery of high-quality mission critical software. This position will support the shaping of the future of NC3 defense systems for the armed forces. This position is located onsite in Richardson, TX.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
Experience in Object Oriented Programing and Java
Experience with Open Mission Systems standard
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge in UML, SysML, MBSE and CAMEO Modeling tools.
Knowledge in requirements analysis, requirements decomposition and derivation.
Knowledge in virtualization.
Knowledge in microservices, containers and orchestrators.
Knowledge in CI/CD.
Understanding Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

Responsibilities

Team up with a high-performance software team, collaborating with fellow Software engineers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Software Architects, and other teams.
Support requirements decomposition and derivation to produce Software Requirements.
Participate in the design of the capabilities producing UML and SysML diagrams.
Produce producing high quality mission critical software.
Participate in code and related artifacts peer reviews.
Create test cases and tests.
