Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op
About The Position
At IPS, internships and co-ops play a key role in developing the next generation of engineers. Our program is designed to give students practical, hands-on experience in product development within a manufacturing environment. This rotation will focus on developing effective work instructions for our production team. During their time with IPS, students will own at least one end‑to‑end project while collaborating closely with experienced engineers who provide guidance, support, and professional mentorship. You can expect to gain the following: How to operate within an engineering ecosystem. Exposure to manufacturing and assembly processes. Appreciation for the importance of data integrity and clear communication. Understanding collaboration with cross functional team members.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Intermediate or Advanced level proficiency in Excel.
- Must be able to report to the IPS facility in Collierville, TN.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to adhere to project timelines.
- Excellent written or oral communication skills.
- High degree of interpersonal skills.
