About The Position

The Manufacturing Development Program (MDP) at Niagara is a 15-month rotational program designed to develop leaders in a leading beverage manufacturing company. Participants will gain hands-on experience across various functions and departments, including Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse, with potential rotations in operations, engineering, human resources, or quality assurance. The program includes project work focused on cost or time savings, professional development, and a 6-month stint as a Plant Supervisor to understand leadership and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment. Relocation after program completion is encouraged to broaden job opportunities.

Requirements

  • 0 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment (experience may include a combination of work experience and education)
  • 0 Years – Experience managing people/projects (experience may include a combination of work experience and education)
  • Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through plant departments for 9 months, gaining experience in Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse, with potential rotations in operations, engineering, human resources, or quality assurance.
  • Work on cost or time-saving projects that are impactful to the plant and Niagara.
  • Act as a Plant Supervisor for 6 months to understand the scope of the role and its importance to plant performance.
  • Engage leadership and problem-solving skills related to people and technical issues.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and professional development.
  • Complete cross-departmental projects.
  • Present experiences and project outcomes to local and regional leadership.
  • Attend department/manager meetings and action plan based on feedback.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
