About The Position
The Manufacturing Development Program (MDP) at Niagara is a 15-month rotational program designed to develop future leaders in a leading beverage manufacturing company. Participants will gain hands-on experience across various functions and departments, including Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse, with potential rotations in operations, engineering, human resources, or quality assurance. The program includes project work focused on cost or time savings, professional development, and a 6-month stint as a Plant Supervisor to understand leadership roles. Relocation after program completion is encouraged to broaden career opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 0 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment (experience may include a combination of work experience and education)
- 0 Years – Experience managing people/projects (experience may include a combination of work experience and education)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or any field
- 2 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
- 2 Years – Experience managing people/projects
- 1 Year - internship experience
Responsibilities
- Rotate through plant departments for 9 months, gaining hands-on experience.
- Work on cost or time-saving projects impactful to the plant and Niagara.
- Act as a Plant Supervisor for 6 months to understand the scope and importance of the role.
- Engage leadership and problem-solving skills in people and technical issues.
- Participate in on-the-job training and professional development.
- Complete cross-departmental projects.
- Present experiences and project outcomes to leadership.
- Attend department/manager meetings and action plan based on feedback.
- Stand or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
