The goal of this manufacturing engineering role is to productionize and scale our internally developed advanced manufacturing capital equipment including laser powder bed fusion machines, automated assembly equipment, and other assets. The role owns the translation of complex machine technology from proof of concept to repeatable, reliable, and scalable manufacturing execution.

Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to U.S. export controls
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years (Senior) or 7+ years (Staff) of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex areas
  • Strong experience in technical troubleshooting, RCCA, high-quality technical documentation, and/or manufacturing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with capital equipment or low-volume production
  • Experience with PLM, MES, configuration management, change control
  • Experience with tooling, fixtures, calibration tools, or test equipment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary manufacturing development engineering owner for one or more critical factory modules, subsystems, and/or processes
  • Develop deep technical understanding of assigned systems, including architecture, operating modes, controls, interfaces, failure modes, and interactions
  • Own the manufacturing readiness of complex machine systems from development through build, commissioning, validation, qualification, and production handoff
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of clear, accurate, executable work instructions, standard operating procedures, test procedures, and process documentation
  • Lead complex troubleshooting, RCCA, and corrective action implementation to improve machine reliability, uptime, quality, and repeatability
  • Partner with design engineering, automation, software, operations, quality, supply chain, and R&D to improve manufacturability and execution
  • Drive DFM, DFA, tolerance, process capability, tooling, fixture, and cycle time improvements
  • Support design changes through PLM, configuration management, change control, implementation planning, and production cut-in
  • Mentor engineers and technicians while raising standards for ownership, technical rigor, documentation quality, and follow-through
