Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Intern
About The Position

Requirements
- Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, engineering, organizational leadership or other related field, having completed sophomore year prior to the start of internship.
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Passion for learning and growing in the manufacturing industry.
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals of manufacturing.
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
- Strength with strategic and analytical thinking.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and vehicle required.
Responsibilities
- Learn to influence individuals and teams in a safe and efficient manner within the manufacturing environment.
- Support the execution of DMAIC methodology on continuous improvement projects within a food manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with Operations to identify performance gaps through data analysis and apply continuous improvement tools to develop and implement solutions that drive progress toward defined goals.
- Apply good leadership techniques to achieve or exceed the expected level of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People related metrics.
- Help with ideas to improve current processes.
- Attend meetings with Supervisors and Managers to gain understanding of current projects/focuses.
- Participate in problem solving to overcome production related problems, materials shortages, equipment malfunctions and unavoidable delays where possible to reduce their impact on operations.
