About The Position

The Manufacturing Associate (Pallet Builder/Repair) builds and repairs wooden pallets using freshly cut or recycled wood to meet customer needs. This is a production-based, piece-rate role: the posting lists pay at $12.75 per hour or a $0.45 piece rate. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at 2 Dinan Rd, Dunn, NC 28334.

The work involves receiving wood from the saw shop, assembling it along set stringers with a nail gun, and stacking finished pallets by hand for forklift operators to move. The associate is expected to follow company safety procedures, maintain quality, and produce a high volume of finished goods. The job requires regular lifting and physical activity in a work environment that may include heat, cold, outdoor elements, airborne particulates, and varying noise levels. Personal protective equipment is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to regularly lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 pounds.
• Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in lumber, warehousing, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing.
