About The Position

The Manufacturing Associate II is an intermediate-level manufacturing position with more experience than a Mfg. Associate 1. This role is capable of working on mid-level complex tasks and understanding general manufacturing processes. Mason designs, manufactures, and markets highly engineered products and systems principally for the aerospace and defense markets. Mason, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Transdigm, offers world-class control devices and subsystems for today's advanced cockpits, military vehicles, and other specialized applications. Our solutions fall into two broad categories: control products and components.

Requirements

  • Soldering.
  • Blueprint and/or schematic reading.
  • Finger dexterity, manipulating small parts.
  • Hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to verify the process of the part per the final blueprint.
  • Effective communication skills in English with the ability to read, speak, and understand English.
  • High school education or general education degree (GED).
  • A minimum of one year of manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). This position requires either U.S persons (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non U.S person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization(s).

Responsibilities

  • Locates and positions parts for processing by following blueprints and Standard Work Instructions.
  • Works at the station as a member of a manufacturing group producing one or more specific parts to meet production requirements.
  • Locates and positions parts in specific areas and secures them in place.
  • May sell parts by following the schematic, blueprint, and Standard Work Instructions to produce increasingly more complex parts.
  • Verifies the dimensions or appearance of the part after the process using basic measuring tools and gauges.
  • Ability to dimension aspects with related test fixtures.
  • Performs related duties, which may be assigned, from one area task to another at area supervisor's requirements.
